The Merfolk found within the deep lakes, rivers and ocean that boarders the Azanamas territory have a very pacified relationship with the Usarinon. They are a friend to those of the water territory and have an otherwise peaceful relationship with those on land. The Merfolk are seen as a guide for those that wish to travel into the Ocean that boarders the southern side of Azanamas because the Usarinon see it as a dangerous world. The Merfolk tend to not bother with the land dwelling races unless bothered by them, and they open their trade to any who wishes to. They are however wary of the humans, as there was one instance where a young royal was kidnapped and nearly died as the humans attempted to gain a slave. This did not work out, and only because it was hundreds of years ago and the humans who did it are long dead do the Merfolk cautiously tolerate the foolish humans.

Very peaceful, the Merfolk of Azanamas are close to their land dwelling cousins, the Naga. The relationship between the two species is never foul, always peaceful. The Merfolk and the Naga are close friends, in trade and alliance.

Culture
The Merfolk culture in the ocean's relies on the adapted skill of being able to shape rock skillfully. Their building structures are similar to that of the Water Usarinion, but with different little flares that set Merfolk structures apart.

As for clothing, they gather beads and string them together with cloth and string obtained from the Naga. Both are specially designed to hold up in the water, and they use it to make their tops and jewerly. Generally, the Merfolk have only enough to cover their chest and not much more.

Hierarchy
Because they are so close to the Naga, they also share a similar matriarchal system. The Queen is the one who governs them, with her mate beside her. Unlike the Naga, a Merfolk Queen will take only one mate.

Below the Queen, all Merfolk are equal in rights and power, though the royal guards and such have some sway when keeping the law.

General Appearance
Similar to the Naga, the Merfolk have humanoid traits from the 'waist' up. Unlike the Naga, their 'tail' is finned, and the average Merfolk has a shorter tail then that of the average Naga.
Basic bone shape is the same as a Naga's.

Their finely scaled skin is slick, like a fish. Fingers of their hands are webbed with a very stretchy skin.

Colouration amoung Merfolk is a varied, as is their fin shapes, and the patterns on their skins. They can appear like any type of fish in the waters, or as something completely differnt.

Same as their land dwelling cousins, they do not have facial hair, only the hair on their head.

Mating/Reproduction
Merfolk have a very human like way of reproduction, and it is identical to the Primary method of the Naga.

This is the retractable penis which is placed in the 'crotch area' of a male (The 'crotch area' is located where it would be on a human, in relation to the 'waist line') and a vagina on a female. Both are protected by scales that close together, and are revealed on arousal.(The penis is still visible in the sense that there is a protrusion, which angles the penis away from the body. For the female, it is a very slight bump where the scales close together over the vagina).

Has a fin pattern and colouration similar to that of a Lionfish.
Brown hair.
Blue-ish green eyes.

She is a very graceful, very beautiful Mermaid. She is kind and gentle, a very compassionate leader and beloved by her people.
